Brooklyn Cares!

The mascot is under the weather and has been for the past couple of days. Of all the times I've owned a cat, this is the first time I needed to take one to the vet.

Chloé was feverish, sneezing, and trying like hell to breathe through her nose - which btw is now orange. She also kept shivering like a gremlin when it gets wet. I got scared - she didn't seems like herself and she looked a hot mess!
When I went into the Vets, there was a nice man who listen and was willing to help on the spot! They had to do blood test and give her an IV to help bring her fever down. She was a trooper - tho I was sure she'd scratch all our eyes out - and she remained as calm as a kitty can under the circumstances.

What was discovered was Chloé has a cold :( If they made Thera-Flu for cats, I would've gotten it - and it would have been cheaper than the $300 bill. However, the brand new state of the art veterinary clinic on Fulton St. was a waay better deal. There's a nutritionist, a 'Cat Whisperer', and a marvelous vet that was gentle and kind.

I'm excited about them being in the neighborhood & thanking my stars they were open when I needed them most. If you've got a pet, I highly suggest popping in one day or checking out the BrooklynCaresVets website.
